Animal antics!

In September children from King Eider and Harlequin had a close encounter with some furry, prickly and feathered friends when Animal antics visited us. The visit caused lots of excitement and was a lovely learning experience for the children, as they were able to touch and hold some of the animals. Here's what two of our King Eider children thought of the visit:
On Thursday Angie came to our school to show us her animals. Before we went in Miss Kirkby told us some rules. The rules were: We can't shout because we could scare the animals.
When we went in we sat in a circle. The first animal was ....... a hedgehog, suddenly the hedgehog moved hahaha. The second one was the rabbit, the third one was the frog, but before Angie put frog back she showed us the frog climbing the wall and how it gripped.
The fourth one was the millipede. The millipede left yellow ink on your hand. The last one was the owl. The owl kept flapping his wings, but it was still fluffy.
When we were finished we went and washed our hands and went back in the classroom and did our next lesson.
My best animal was the rabbit because it was so fluffy.

Two weeks ago Angies Animal Antics came in. Miss Kirkby told us to wash our hands before we went in. On the day I saw an owl's head poking through the square hole, I laughed.
First a hedgehog popped its head out of its box. Angie let us hold the hedgehog, I was a bit scared.
Next a rabbit came out. I've got two rabbits at home, the rabbit loved me. My friend let me hold it, I said thank you. Next the rabbit had to go home, bye bye Paul.
After a frog came out and jumped onto the wall. I Held the frog, he was slimy. I Loved the frog lots and lots. I wanted the frog too.
After a millipede nearly bit me. The millipede kept walking into the air.
Next an owl came, it was 4 months old. I nearly got pecked. Next the lady had to go.
Today was the best day EVER. I liked the rabbit, frog.
