Swimming In Year 3 children take swimming lessons on a Friday at Atherstone swimming baths. Children are taught in small groups tailored to their level of ability, from beginners learning to swim to more experienced swimmers. Children simply need to bring swimwear and a towel into school on Friday and will be transported to the swimming bath by coach. We ask that a small voluntary contribution is made by parents to help enable us to offer this valuable additional activity.
Music From Year 2 children have the option of taking music lessons on a Wednesday afternoon. Mrs Vanessa Crooke comes into school each Wednesday afternoon to teach piano, her prices are £5.50 for a 15 minute lesson, £7.30 for a 20 minute lesson. Key Stage 2 children also have the opportunity to have guitar lessons within school at an additional cost.
Cookery This year all our children will have the opportunity to have cookery lessons at school. They will be tought one lesson each half term, in mixed age groups, and learn to cook a range of hot and cold healthy dishes. We aim to use produce from our own garden, teaching the children where food comes from and the importance of a balanced diet. We ask that a small voluntary contribution of £1 is made per session, £6 in total.
Please contact the school office for further information, or to register your child for one or more after school clubs, or for music lessons.
